How Do You Pay A Criminal Defense Attorney

Lawyers usually get paid by three different ways. Criminal defense attorneys get paid in two ways because it is unethical to charge a contingency fee or a results oriented fee in criminal cases. Most criminal defense attorneys charge by the hour or a flat fee. A flat fee is one set price for the entire case. In some circumstances the fee can be divided between the different stages of the case.
